The House: The “Breakers” is a modern bungalow situated near the sea at Aughrismore, a short distance from Claddaghduff. This house has spectacular views in all directions, Westward over the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding islands of Cruagh, Friar, High, Innishshark and Innishboffin and facing East the view is of Omey Island, Streamstown Bay and the Twelve Pins mountain range.

The house is in an extremely quiet spot, a perfect location for children down a paved lane used only by two other houses. It is surrounded in all directions by the stone walls that form the boundaries of fields that are such a feature of Connemara. Wonderful coastal walks start at your doorstep and deserted beaches with clear water are close by and a small pier with a safe anchorage and easy launching facilities are just down next lane up the road.

Inside: A bright and spacious house with large windows, three in particular take full advantage of the magnificent sea views. Decorated to a high standard the house has four bedrooms: 1 double with ensuite shower and toilet, a large bedroom with 2 single beds, a twin room with single beds and another bedroom with a set of bunk beds and travel cot. Main bathroom has a combined bath and shower; and beside the main entrance there is a separate cloakroom/boot-room and a toilet.

There is a large sitting room/dining room that has an open fire, a TV with DVD and video player/recorder, as well as some games and a selection of books. The walls are decorated with Map’s and Charts of the surrounding area which when combined with the local recommendations and guide books should mean that you are never bored.

The kitchen is well equipped with dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave, electric cooker. A separate utility room has gas a BBQ, washer/dryer and garden furniture. The house is heated by an efficient oil fired central heating system making if very comfortable for use all year around. To be recommended.
