Charming peaceful remote lakeside cottage at Lough Auna - 3 miles approx north of Clifden. The cottage is situated in the unique green fields and the stonewalls of Lough Auna with the blanket bog stretching to the distant 12 Bens mountain range.
A wonderland of nature walks in all directions, including spectacular views of the Connemara coastline from nearby hilltops. Wild brown trout fishing in the nearby lakes and rivers and a variety of wildlife can be spotted, including badgers, foxes, mountain hares, and the occasional otter. Migrating birds also rest here during their flights. The surrounding countryside is steeped in ancient history.
A genuine break away from fast paced modern life, the cottage has no electricity, but has all the comforts of home - an oil range, open fires, gas hob and fridge. Adding character is the spring well on the grounds.
