Ideal for a peaceful getaway break with lots to see in the surrounding area. Located only a mile from the well known Aasleagh Waterfall, it is the perfect location to tour Connemara or Mayo. This area is rated highly for its quality salmon fishing with the Erriff River a premier fishing river set in spectacular surroundings. A day’s fishing can be organised with local companies but needs to booked in advance due to popularity. It’s a must do on your visit. Lake fishing is also popular in the area. Leenane Village is only 3 miles down the road, the set of the well known film ‘The Field’ starring Richard Harris. Why not take a cruise on the Killary Cruises boat located in the harbour, which cruises around the scenic fjord, a must do! Delphi Mountain Resort, Spa and adventure centre is only a mile down the road, with lots of spa treatments available and adventures e.g. canoeing, mountain walking. The property is about a half hours drive to both Westport and Clifden both very popular tourist towns with lots to see and do in both. Letterfrack is only 20 minutes with the well known Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey on the must see list also! This property is immaculately finished outside with well matured lawns and breathtaking views.
Inside: This cottage is well designed and decorated and really has all of the best of comforts. Three spacious bedrooms. One double ensuite with pump shower, one double and one twin room with wooden floors and built in wardrobes. Spacious sitting room with open fire, Satellite TV and DVD, and comfortable sofas. Exquisite views from the sitting room looking out over Killary Fjord, with the morning sun pouring into this bright room. The kitchen is spacious and is broken up into two sections, the main kitchen area and dining area. Well equipped modern kitchen with electric cooker and hob, microwave, fridge-freezer. The washing machine and dryer are located in the utility room just off the kitchen. The dining area has a large table and chairs and again overlooks the bay. This property has the bonus of having a lovely sunroom off the kitchen which has comfortable chairs for you to read or relax in and take in the stunning views. Well finished bathroom with bath and shower in bath and separate pump shower. Oil fired central heating throughout. Cot available.
