The cottage: Situated on the shores of the Bertrachtboy bay this well appointed modern bungalow has wonderful views of the surrounding area. Although there is no sandy beach the sea shore nearby is great for exploring rock pools and watching the abundant birdlife.
A great place for walking or for a quiet relaxed holiday the area has changed little in the last number of years and retains the charm that rural Ireland was once famous for.
You need a car to get to the shops in Roundstone or Clifden but the nearby Zetland and Cashel House Hotels (3.5m) provide a venue for an evening drink or meal.
The nearest beaches are the famous dogs bay in Roundstone which is seven miles away where you will also find some interesting shops, restaurants and pubs including O’Dowd’s with its now world famous seafood chowder.
Inside: This property has a large well fitted kitchen with all appliances and a comfortable sitting room with an open fire. It sleeps twelve in six bedrooms with one double ensuite and two twin bedrooms downstairs, and another three double bedrooms upstairs.
Oil fired central heating compliments the open fire and there is a utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer.
