Easter in Connemara:

Easter is a great time to visit Connemara, spring is well underway and it is possible to get a great week or two of fine weather. Even when the sun doesnt shine there is loads to do, places to visit, beaches to run on and Islands to take a trip to. Connemarathon date is set for 23rd of April and is open entry and ready for registration so get busy if you like a run. Salmon and trout fishing can be very good at Easter, and there is lots of great spots to go sea angling, or you can take a trip on one of the local angling boats for a great day fishing.

There is unlimited scope for walking in the area, and if you would like more organised walking we can heartily recommend Walk Connemara (website here) there is also a very useful guide book available here.

If you cant make up your mind which property you would suit all you have to do is to Email Sandra with the dates you would like to stay, how many adults and children are coming, and if you have any particular area you would like to stay in. Of course you can always phone Sandra to help you find exactly what you need on 00353 (0) 95 41844.

The map below has the main locations of the Connemara beaches..

How to choose a beach? The secret is the wind direction,
pick a beach with shelter from the wind on the day and it
will be a comfortable spot for the afternoon.
