WALKING
This is a perfect area for those who enjoy walking. The Twelve Bens and other surrounding mountains offer some challenging opportunities for seasoned hill walkers and climbers, as well as gentler routes for the less experienced. There are also many places to walk along the coastline, with a great variety of rocky and sandy shores. Excellent maps and guides of the region are available - particularly those produced by Tim Robinson's Folding Landscapes - for those who would like to explore on their own, but a variety of superb guided walks are also on offer.
