"Trad in the West"
All Ireland Champion Marie Walsh and the Clifden Station House are delighted to present for the second year running, an exciting summer show of the very best of Traditional Irish Music, Song and Dance
The show will run in the Clifden Station House Theatre
each Monday during July and August at 8pm
.
It will be a sparkling show of Traditional Irish Music, Song and Dance which will showcase the talents of some of Ireland’s finest performers.
Produced by All Ireland Champion and Clifden native, Marie Walsh, the cast of the show are well known faces on the trad scene:
Highlights of the show include:
- All Ireland Champion Musicians showcasing the best of Irish Music
- Emma O Sullivan – All Ireland Talent Show Sean Nos Dancer will entertainwith her rhythmic and tasteful style of sean nos dancing
- All Ireland Champion Marie Walsh will feature on several instruments including Accordion, Fiddle and Piano
- A variety of sean nos and step dancing
- A lively arrangement of music and song
Show Cast:
- Ronan Canavan, a fantastic young Accordion and Meledeon 
- Conall Flaherty on Flute and Whistle who brings a great lively style to the show
- Eileen O Malley, well known musician on Banjo, Flute and Whistle
- Marie Walsh, All Ireland Champion, on Accordion, Fiddle and Piano
- Maria Sheridan from Renvyle will entertain with her unique style of singing and also on piano
- Seamus Flaherty, a multi talented young performer & current All Ireland Singing Champion and plays a variety of instruments in the Show including, Harp, Tin Whistle, Bodhran and a few more surprises. This is his first season in Trad in the West and he's going to be a big hit!

The show will feature a variety of dancers including champion Irish step dancers with some new and exciting routines
With a wealth of young people involved in Music and Dance locally, we also will showcase a different group of young performers each week.

The“Trad in the West” show will be a lively and pulsating show of arranged and choreographed Traditional Irish Music, Song and Dance and will leave audiences tapping their feet for the rest of the night. With a few surprises thrown in, it’s a must for locals and visitors alike to come and enjoy!

The show will run every Monday from July 11th 2011 for eight weeks from 8pm at the Station House Theatre, Clifden. Tickets are keenly priced at €15 and can be booked in advance by booking directly with Clifden Station House on 095 21699 or you can just turn up on the night and pay on the door.
